Finally have gotten back into the mood of writing. Really the last time I wrote on this godforsaken site it annoyed me! I had this long story and then it just *poof* dissappeared. Anyways, am supposed to be doing some research now for my presentation tomorrow but I really do not have the mood to be doing it. It's about Little Caesar the movie, a gangster film in the 30s. Sometimes people wonder what is so hard about doing film studies, trust me it's not as easy as watching the film and just giving a review about it. It's about understanding the time in which the film was shot, how the audience of that era reacted to it and the reason why certain props are used or why certain lines are used. For example anyone who have seen films produced in the 30s would've picked up on the notion of the forgotten man. Is it all that important? Well it is! I guess the view that we postmodern day have of these films are that they were terrific and that it was just amazing how it was shot in that time. Or maybe we would just all deem it as corny. Mind you however that these films were the heart and soul of both the producers and the audience. It helped the people forget their sorrows and they were then able to relate to the plot of these films. I guess what really caught my attention was that the government of the United States at that time even funded the theatres where anyone was able to watch films for free. Take into consideration the Great Depression of 1929, this was then a huge thing. The question here now is why? Why film? Why the media? Further research into this topic has led me to understand that the media was basically the only thing that the community had that was going good for them. I am sounding like a historian now but I believe that my decision to major in Film Studies was a wise one. Not only do I understand films and the past in greater detail but I now understand why films and human interaction are the way it is today.

Anyhoo, I shall not blabber on about things like that. These past few days have been quite alright for me. Attended class yesterday so that kept me busy, today was just a boring one. Slept till noon, had lunch came online and still am online and later will be doing some readings for my class tomorrow. Will be giving a presentation but I have no idea what to say about it. Summer school is such a chore, 3 months work cramped into just slightly less than 2 months. I've got 6 hours of American Culture & The Great Depression each week! Just as the name suggest it is quite depressing. The work that I have to do is just incredible, In a week I basically have to read an average of 100 pages! Double sided with mini fonts! Gives me a headache just thinking about it but I do enjoy the films!

Guess what I think my puppy is going into depression. It's kinda sad seeing him the way he is. My dad dropped by today and played with him but once he left my puppy was at the door for 20 mins. He sat right in front of it staring out through the glass at the side. He's still at it now and its been hours. I think he misses Fel. It's gonna be quite a while till he comes back I just don't know whats gonna happen to our puppy. Just hope he doesn't get too moody that he'll be sick.

Rachel rang me yesterday to tell me more about her wedding. I still am so excited for her! Her wedding will be in June over at The Whitsundays, Gold Coast. Just a small private honeymoon wedding and yet it cost her a bomb! Marriage really is no small matter. It's kinda scary in a way to see friends getting married. Rachel marks the first of my friends who will be getting married, before I know it all my close girlfriends will be doing the same thing too. Marriage only means getting older. Though marriage and the gift of a child are both magical moments, one can not help but think that it only means getting older and hopefully wiser.

I wonder what Rachel's wedding dress will look like. Since I was young I have pictured myself getting married or rather pictured my wedding dress. It would be this off shoulder gown with a gorgeous veil and trail that would have flowers embroided on it. It is funny though that I have never pictured the face of the groom. Well the groom was always there but his face was rather fuzzy! Weddings are always so beautiful but I believe sometimes it just does not show enough of the real love felt between the bride and groom. Weddings are always this big fuss about who to invite to the dinner and half the time the guest are friends of parents or relatives and it then becomes pretty impersonal. I guess Rachel's choice of having a privated wedding by the beach was a brilliant one. It's just a perfect, peaceful and romantic setting. Ah...talking about weddings has made me all gushy and dreamy eyed. You know I sometimes do wonder I Fel will be the one. I do want him to be the one but we've got so much more to go through. But I believe we will manage, so Fel I do want to be able to wear that gown I've always been dreaming of and that fuzzy face forming into yours!

I better go...Toshi's at the door again. It's so sad to see him like that.

Fel you better get your ass back ere before both of us dip into depression!!!!

P/s: was getting all excited abt my good friend's wedding but nah I'll leave the story for some other day. I better sleep before I bash my head in the wall!!
